The Realities of Indie Publishing: Navigating Challenges and Opportunities
Why are so many indie publishers closing their doors? What challenges ultimately cause that last nail in the coffin?
In an industry dominated by large retailers like Waterstones and Amazon, this blog post delves into the financial realities of publishing, the impact of new distribution charges, and the difficulties of securing shelf space in bookshops. Additionally, we explore the quest for sustainable revenue, the allure of selling to Amazon, and the importance of recognizing one's worth as an indie publisher.
The Economics of Indie Publishing
